A quarter of Americans People Be Sure Obama is a Muslim

Almost every one in four Americans believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim , according to a poll , as reported Daily Mail.

As many as 24 percent of poll respondents assumed that U.S. President Obama , whose name was Hussein , embraced Islam because she supports the construction of a mosque near the location of the bombing 9 / 11 in New York .

Polls from Time which was published yesterday also revealed that 70 percent of respondents believe that construction of the mosque would be insulting the memory of the victims.In one other poll , it was revealed that respondents who answered correctly , that Obama is a Christian religion , fell to 34 percent.

As many as 43 percent of respondents admitted to not knowing Obama's religion , this figure increased from 34 percent to a similar question in early 2009 .

Other polls are held by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center institutions with affiliates , the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life . Poll was compiled based on interviews before the controversy surrounding the construction of mosques in the World Trade Center.

poll results came as the builder of the mosque insisted receiving development funds from Iran and Saudi Arabia .

Obama said that Muslims have an equal right to run religion , no different from the rights of every person residing in the U.S. .

Mosque to be built is located at the address Park51 , formerly called the Cordoba House . religious center would be built to 13 floors . (Kompas.com)
