President Exempt Corruption Convict
Jakarta : President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono issued Presidential Decree No. 7/G in 2010 that acquitted a former Regent of the Rais Hassan Syaukani Class I Cipinang prison bars.
Syaukani was convicted of corruption was sentenced to six years in prison is getting a pardon or clemency from the President.

In that decision Syaukani pardoned or granted clemency to cut the sentence from six years to three years. While Syaukani has undergone three years in prison, so a direct free.
According sukerta, clemency was granted by health considerations. Moreover Syaukani has paid fines and compensation amounting to Rp49, 6 billion through the KPK.
Syaukani convicted of the Anticorruption Court for 2.5 years in prison. Syaukani who tried to appeal, it is an additional penalty of three years from the Supreme Court. So that became six years in prison.
Syaukani receive clemency file in Cipto Mangunkusumo. Because lately Syaukani often sickly and had to undergo intensive treatment at Cipto Mangunkusumo. (okezone.com)
